Originally we were informed that we should be good to go by March 30. One of the tasks that China Telecom was working on was a new fiber link from their core switch to our rack. Unfortunately the datacenter they lease space from (Coresite Los Angeles) did not complete the fiber run on time.
On April 5 we were informed that Coresite resolved all issues on their side, and promised to complete all work by April 9. However on April 10 they still have not completed the fiber link.
On April 11 we have escalated this issue to Coresite datacenter management and we hope for quick resolution.
On April 13 the fiber run was complete.
On April 18 China Telecom enabled the link, however there is significant packet loss on the link.
On April 19 China telecom began testing their side of the link to find cause of the packet loss. We are working with China Telecom to complete this as soon as possible. Once link is stable, we will be migrating all customers back to CN2 GIA.
We are still working with China Telecom to get things done quickly as possible.
