As you may all know, we are still working on recovering our helpdesk data base from the recent disastrous event. Here are some updates of what has been going on.
1. The 3rd party company is still working on recovering the data from the drives. Unfortunately because they are unique kind of drives, it has taken longer than anticipated to receive the parts needed to process this recovery. We expect the parts to arrive tomorrow 05/19/2011 1PM MST. They will be start working immediately on recovering the data, but it 's not guaranteed that they will be able to recover the data we are looking for.
2. On the other hand, we have been working around the clock to recover the data based on the information we have on hand from payment receipts, service activation emails, and internal communication logs. Even though we have tremendous trust in the ability of the recovery company being able to restore the data, we are still assuming that the data is permanently lost and we have to work from this point. We have gone through major milestones, but because of the tremendous amount of data we have to analyze and process, we are still behind. Within the next 24 hours we are hoping to have all service records restored to the system and start working on updating the invoices.
Until we are able to recover the data from either of the methods we are working above, your current service with us is still intact. We ask you please do not submit any new orders with us, do not submit service cancellations requests, or pay any due invoices until we have sorted things out.
We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience and we are doing the best in our capabilities to have this situation under control. |
