Dear Valued Customer,We would like to inform you about the recent network maintenance and all the connectivity & performance issues that occurred since then. As we had previously announced, we scheduled network maintenance last Friday 03/Apr/2009 at 23:00 CDT in order to perform some major upgrades to our network that will allow us to radically improve our services. The maintenance had 6 different phases and targets to accomplish (new edge router, new core router, interfaces replacement, ASN change, BGP implementation, upstream addition).
Although advanced preparation and pre-production testing was performed, the complexity of the procedure and some unforeseen technical issues forced us to extend the maintenance in order to troubleshoot performance issues that have occurred at the new core router. After long investigation from our network engineers and Cisco's support, we reverted the core router's upgrade and our network services have been restored back to normal. Summarizing, 5 of the 6 upgrades were successful, which we're proud since they are required for further network improvements, yet we were forced to revert 1 of them until we have a final and acceptable solution.
